Sunset Shred Grand Junction, May 25th

May 25, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$30.00

The women’s MTB event of the season: Sunset Shred is coming to Grand Junction, Colorado!

Add to your peak 2022 mountain biking experiences at the All Women’s Sunset Shred in Grand Junction, Colorado, hosted by Pivot Cycles and DT Swiss USA!  Together with sponsors 10 Barrel Brewing, and Wild Rye we are donating 100% of Sunset Shred proceeds to World Ride, the official partner of the 2022 Sunset Shred Series.

We will be taking twenty five lucky women on a high vibes backyard ride led by Pivot and DTSwiss ambassadors and athletes, followed by a post-party with snacks, swag, beer from contributing partner 10 Barrel Brewing, and a viewing of the acclaimed World Ride Movie Night.    Prepare to be inspired, connect with like-minded lady riders, and build your MTB community.

Sunset Shred and World Ride come together to empower women globally through mountain biking.

The guided ride experience will begin and end at DT Swiss USA, with two unique ride options built by advocate and skills coach Tina Ooley.  The venue opens at 4:00 pm and Pivot demo set-ups begin at 4:30 pm.  Either shuttle yourself or join the group for a quick 3-mile pedal to the trailhead for a 5:00 pm rollout.  All routes and recommended skills are detailed below!  Both rides will have re-group points, and everyone will rendezvous back at DT Swiss around 7:00 pm for the post-party tacos and World Ride Movie Night.

“What skill level is necessary?”

Option A: “Blue” –  Sunset Shred Chill:  Beginning at the Tabeguache Trailhead, this route includes a mellow 500 feet of climbing on some of the Lunch Loops’ most fun and welcoming trails. We’ll follow Pet E Kes to High Noon, ultimately descending Raven Ridge to Curt’s Lane to Curt’s Down – a classic ending to any Lunch Loops ride.

Option B: “Blue/Black” – Sunset Shred Holy Cross:   We’ll join the Chill loop for a mellow climb out of the Tabeguache Trailhead to Pet E Kes, but will head to Holy Cross.  This trail is considered one of the finest, technically challenging purpose-built mountain bike trails on the Western Slope!  After tackling Holy Cross, an Ali Alley descent reconnects the group to Curt’s Down and the end of the route.

Add-On Option: “All Riders”:   Want more?  This network of blue trails is easily accessed by either the Chill or Holy Cross rider routes, time permitting!

“Can I demo a bike?”

Pivot Cycles will have a selection of our factory demo fleet available for the Sunset Shred.  Look for the link to sign up when you register!
