Preassembly Assistant

Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated mountain bike rider/enthusiast to join our company. As a Preassembly Assistant, you will work with others to prepare bicycle components for assembly.

Responsibilities
  • Decal application: wheels, forks, shocks 
  • Cut brakes, chains, etc. to specified lengths 
  • Install tires on wheels 
  • Combine bulk bike parts into designated kits  
  • Assist with inventory management 
  • Receive/restock inventory as needed 
  • Maintain a clean appearance and workspace 
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred 
  • Bike mechanic experience is a plus 
  • Working understanding of bikes and their components is a plus 
  • Previous warehouse experience a plus 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills 
  • Basic computer knowledge 
  • Work in a standing in a manufacturing atmosphere 
  • Ability to stand, lift, twist and reach while working 
  • Enjoy and participate in the cycling environment

Warranty and After Sales Specialist

Description

The Warranty and After Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting our domestic and international Warranty and After Sales Support team in their mission to assist Pivot dealers and distributors, as well as end consumers, with warranty claims and technical issues while providing world class customer service. The position will work closely with Sales and Customer Service departments.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Warranty and After Sales Support team in evaluating warranty and crash replacement claims by assisting dealers, distributors and end consumers with the entire process to include issuing return authorizations (RA), product evaluation, replacement, and follow up 
  • Prioritize warranty inquiries and submissions daily, to ensure a turnaround of 48 hours or less 
  • Accurately receive, inspect and analyze warranty and non-warranty product returns 
  • Ensure that the team responds on the same day to customer, dealer and distributor calls and emails 
  • Learn and operate within the Pivot ERP system to create return authorizations, process warranties, and maintain warranty stock 
  • Answer technical questions for end consumers, distributors, and dealers as necessary 
  • Work with the Product Development team to improve product and improve production 
Requirements
  • 2 years of bicycle industry experience in sales, service, or technical support 
  • Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic specializing in high-end mountain bikes 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office: Excel, Word, Outlook 
  • Ability to learn and operate the Pivot ERP system 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Hubspot are desired

Production Engineer

Description

The Production Engineer will be a detail-oriented individual who will use their engineering background and project management skills to support the creation of new bike and component designs and drive them to production. This person will be an integral member of the Design/Engineering team and work to bring future Pivot Cycles products from idea to reality.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review technical drawings with tolerances using SolidWorks 
  • Design and maintain technical resources to assist designers (i.e. no-fly clearance models, component libraries) 
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of new products 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of new cycling related products and how those affect future designs 
  • Assist other departments with technical information and resources including consumer facing documents 
  • Work with vendors to quote new products and keep them on schedule 
  • Help develop, maintain, and improve design to production procedures timelines 
  • Product/Part/Prototype design 
  • Use bicycle knowledge and experience to contribute to creative discussions of future designs and improvements 
  • Contribute to the suspension layout process 
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Project management and project scheduling skills 
  • Excellent 3D modeling skills 
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products – Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook 
  • Teamwork and communication skills 
  • Mechanical knowledge of bicycles and a passion for mountain biking
