Senior Industrial Designer

Description

The Senior Industrial Designer will be a detail-oriented individual who will use their design background as well as bicycle industry experience to design frames and components. This person will be an integral member of the Design/Engineering team, and work to bring future Pivot Cycles products from idea to reality. Candidates with bicycle industry and/or bicycle shop experience will be heavily favored.

 

Responsibilities
  • Design complete production-ready bicycle frames, parts, and assemblies 
  • Effectively manage production timelines and vendor schedules 
  • Create production support documentation and presentations 
  • Support prototype and research projects 
  • Work with artists to design vendor-ready graphics packages for bicycle frames and components 
  • Nearly all of this position’s time is spent 3D modeling/surfacing carbon fiber bicycle frames 
  • Help mentor and train Junior designers. 

 

Requirements
  • A degree in industrial design or similar field 
  • Minimum 5 years of bicycle/frame design experience  
  • Project management and project scheduling skills 
  • Talent creating exceptional aesthetic, functional 3D design 
  • High proficiency in SolidWorks with the ability to model high quality surfaces, complex assemblies and production drawings with tolerances 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products – Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook 
  • Teamwork and communication skills 
  • Mechanical knowledge of bicycles and a passion for mountain biking

Independent Sales Representative—Two Territories

Description

This position is for an independent contractor. 

It is Pivot’s calling to build cutting edge bikes that take the rider’s experience to another level. As our dealer partners are vital to serve these discriminating riders, we need an independent sales rep who is committed to supporting our retailers with excellence.   

 

Responsibilities
  • Travel within assigned Midwest territory (Monday through Friday—some weekend events); as well as occasional trips to company headquarters and/or regional events for training 
  • Schedule visits with dealers and follow through in a professional manner 
  • Stay current on industry trends and communicating observations 
  • Maintain expertise in local markets, establishing and maintaining relationships 
  • Bring a consultative approach in assessing the needs of bicycle retailers to present solutions 
  • Provide technical and sales strategy information to support dealers 
  • Address customer issues skillfully to boost brand affinity 
  • Develop a territory plan to achieve monthly/annual sales targets 
  • Plan and execute demo events in partnership with dealers 
  • Exhibit a passion for the sport and love for the Pivot brand 

 

Requirements
  • Must live within the assigned territory 
  • Knowledge of retail bicycle operations (retail experience is a plus) 
  • Competency with basic bicycle mechanics

International Inside Sales Specialist

Description

The International Inside Sales Specialist will report to the International Sales Manager and be responsible for ensuring continued growth of international sales by working with overseas distributors to write new orders, implement the annual sales program, and identify new sales opportunities. This position maybe be required to travel internationally 4-6 weeks per year. Primary responsibilities will include prospecting for new orders, managing key accounts, onboarding new distributors, and keeping the international sales team apprised of progress toward the monthly sales goals.

 

Responsibilities
  • Communicate requirements and incentives to the international distributor network 
  • Identify opportunities via monitoring credit reports and open stock 
  • Liaise with key markets to understand challenges, opportunities, and strategies needed for growth 
  • Onboard new distributors to help them understand their benefits and obligations 
  • Onboard new internal staff with training in processes, relationships, and effective strategies 
  • Collaborate on SOP documents to ensure standardized knowledge base amongst the international team 
  • Build and maintain customer profiles through Hubspot CRM system 
  • Monitor adherence to the annual Sales Program 
  • Coordinate in-person logistics during customer visits and in-house events

Production Engineer

Description

The Production Engineer will be a detail-oriented individual who will use their engineering background and project management skills to support the creation of new bike and component designs and drive them to production. This person will be an integral member of the Design/Engineering team and work to bring future Pivot Cycles products from idea to reality.

 

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review technical drawings with tolerances using SolidWorks 
  • Design and maintain technical resources to assist designers (i.e. no-fly clearance models, component libraries) 
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of new products 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of new cycling related products and how those affect future designs 
  • Assist other departments with technical information and resources including consumer facing documents 
  • Work with vendors to quote new products and keep them on schedule 
  • Help develop, maintain, and improve design to production procedures timelines 
  • Product/Part/Prototype design 
  • Use bicycle knowledge and experience to contribute to creative discussions of future designs and improvements 
  • Contribute to the suspension layout process

National Sales Manager

Description

Pivot Cycles, an industry leader in high-performance bicycles, is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead and elevate our domestic sales efforts. This is a pivotal role within our organization, reflecting the growing scale of our operations and our commitment to excellence. What You’ll Do

As the National Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of all aspects of domestic sales, overseeing a robust team and ensuring strong performance across our dealer network. Your responsibilities include:

Strategic Growth:

  • Drive revenue growth across the U.S., with a focus on developing underrepresented territories.
  • Expand dealer partnerships while ensuring premium distribution and market alignment.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and inspire a team of up to 30 independent sales representatives; 3 inside sales representatives; and 4 customer service representatives.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and enhance team success.
  • Provide ongoing training on consultative selling techniques and Pivot’s product lineup.
  • Drive of our CRM platform.

Dealer Engagement:

  • Build strong, lasting relationships with dealers through in-person visits and strategic consultations.
  • Conduct training sessions for dealers, mechanics, managers, and shop owners to ensure deep product understanding.
  • Deliver consultative solutions to dealers to enhance their success with the Pivot brand.

Market Intelligence:

  • Monitor and evaluate market conditions, identifying opportunities to strengthen Pivot’s presence.
  • Provide insights to leadership for refining sales strategies and staying ahead in a competitive market.
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing Manager to educate dealers and internals sales staff on the Pivot Brand voice and Messaging.
  • Work closely with the Global Sales Manager to develop promotional communication strategies and their corresponding rollout to customers.

Event Presence:

  • Represent Pivot Cycles at trade shows, industry events, and dealer demos, showcasing our brand’s commitment to quality and innovation.
What You Bring

We’re looking for a seasoned sales professional who embodies Pivot Cycles’ passion for performance and precision. Ideal candidates will have:

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 5+ years of national sales management experience, in the cycling industry.
  • A proven track record in leading and managing a sales team with a focus on delivering results.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Education:

  • A four-year degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Leadership Qualities:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and adapt to a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with a passion for driving success.

Cycling Expertise:

  • A deep understanding of cycling culture and the ability to translate that into sales strategies.

Flexibility:

  • Willingness to travel domestically for up to 50% of the time.
