Pivot Cycles is a high-end mountain bike manufacturer located in Tempe, AZ. From the beginning, our goal has always been to produce the best riding mountain bikes in the world, bikes that not only perform at the most elite levels of the sport, but that also enabled every Pivot rider to achieve things they never thought possible out on the trail. We are currently working with the City of Phoenix’s Adopt a trail program where we will have partial work days as a company to support our parks and local trail systems.

Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated mountain bike rider/enthusiast who would like to join our Customer Service team.   As a Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for answering phones, talking with consumers and dealers, and order entry.  You will become familiar with our different models to help suggest to consumers what to buy and assist them with technical questions.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and work directly with consumers and dealers
  • Help visitors at our facility and provide tours
  • Follow up with potential customers
  • Suggestive selling to consumers and dealers
  • Aid in our sales vision while providing excellent customer service

Warehouse and Assembly Assistant

Demo Technician (Future Demo Driver)

Pivot Cycles is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented person with a passion for cycling to join our team. The Demo Technician supports and maintains the Pivot Cycles demo bikes in cooperation with the sales and marketing teams. In addition to being an excellent mechanic, the successful candidate will need to have exemplary people skills in order to work with the public while at demos.

Ideally, this position will lead into the role of a Demo Driver. The Demo Technician will have extensive in-house and event training in preparation to be on the road, 11 months of the year, as the face of Pivot Cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain physical inventory of service parts
  • Maintain and adjust product inventory using GP Software
  • Assist in cataloging and shipping of service parts to demo teams
  • Manage inventory adjustments between demo fleets
  • Build new demo bikes
  • Prepare, clean and tune demo bikes for employee and local dealer demos
  • Service retired demo bikes to prep for sale
  • Travel to and work at selected demo events and festivals
  • Assist with shipping and assembly when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Work closely with various other departments

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Willingness to travel for work
  • Previous bicycle shop experience

Purchasing and Operations Assistant

We are looking for a friendly, motivated mountain bike rider/enthusiast who would like to join our Purchasing and Operations team. This person will assist the Purchasing and Operations Manager in planning, forecasting and purchasing components and consumables for production as well as the creation and maintenance of part numbers and BOMs.  

Responsibilities

  • Part number creation in an existing ERP System
  • Create and update information related to components, BOMs and finished goods in the ERP system
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the component level forecast by model to calculate future requirements based on sales forecast and history
  • Manage inventory levels for components and consumables that do not have a sales forecast
  • Physical inventory data entry and verification
  • Seek out efficiency through process and system improvements in relation to job duties
  • Support several departments with the ability to efficiently prioritize in order to balance competing requests from the departments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and previous purchasing role experience
  • Strong knowledge base of bicycle parts and frames
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented individual
  • Sound decision making and problem solving skills

Pro Builder Bike Mechanic

CNC Programmer/ Machinist

Description

We are looking for a CNC Programmer/ Machinist for our prototyping department.  The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD/CAM programming, set up, and machining parts for both mills and lathes.  They should also have qualified skills with conventional manual equipment and an understanding of welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Producing machined parts by programming, setting up and operating CNC and conventional machines
  • General fabrication
  • Be able to work on multiple project simultaneously and keep to schedule
  • Assisting in product development and part verification

Requirements

  • 1-3 years CNC machining experience
  • Degree in Manufacturing Technology or Manufacturing Engineering Technology is preferred
  • CAD/CAM programming
  • Understanding or experience with 3D machining
  • Fabricating and welding experience
  • A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience with set up and operation of CNC lathes and mills
  • Prior experience with set up and operation of manual equipment
  • Willingness to learn new methods of manufacturing
