Designer

Description

The Designer will be a detail-oriented individual who will use their industrial design or engineering background as well as bicycle industry experience to design frames and components. This person will be an integral member of the Design/Engineering team and work to bring future Pivot Cycles products from idea to reality.

Responsibilities
  • Design complete production-ready bicycle frames, parts, and assemblies in 3D
  • Effectively manage production timelines and vendor schedules
  • Create production support documentation and presentations
  • Support prototype and research projects
  • Work with artists to design vendor-ready graphics packages for bicycle frames and components
  • Intensive SolidWorks modeling
  • Nearly all of this position’s time is spent 3D modeling/surfacing carbon fiber bicycle frames
Requirements
  • A degree in industrial design, design engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum two years of bicycle/frame design experience
  • Project management and project scheduling skills
  • Talent creating exceptional aesthetic, functional 3D design
  • High proficiency in SolidWorks with the ability to model high quality surfaces, complex assemblies and production drawings with tolerances
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products – Power Point, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Mechanical knowledge of bicycles and a passion for mountain biking
  • Ability to travel outside the country

Associate Photographer

Description

Pivot Cycles is seeking an enthusiastic team player with foundational photographer experience to join our growing marketing team. The Associate Photographer will work closely with our Creative Producer to conduct in-studio product photography and assist in creative production on-location. This individual should have an understanding of the studio photography production process, be highly organized and communicative with experience in a fast-paced environment. While in-studio photography will be the focus, it is a bonus for this person to have experience in or be willing to produce video content related to new product launches, Youtube instructional and social media. This role is based out of our headquarters in Tempe Arizona.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the organization and management of all studio photography, from product roadmap alignment, shot list development, shoot and retouching scheduling, to final delivery of assets 
  • Work both independently and cross-functionally to ensure alignment in shot list, final image output and establish project tasks and/or deliverables 
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across marketing, merchandising, purchasing and warehouse teams 
  • Execute on delivery timelines and schedules in coordination with marketing team and in collaboration with Creative Producer 
  • Own the organization of digital assets produced from studio while assisting in management of other incoming assets 
  • Preparing and assisting at assigned marketing related events 
  • Contribute to ideation of marketing campaigns, creative projects and brand initiatives.  
  • Assist in the production and coordination of other creative projects such as podcasting and video shoots. 
  • Recognize process gaps and bring innovative solutions to the studio product photography process 
  • When necessary, coordinate and/or communicate with external vendors for equipment rentals.  
Requirements
  • Proficiency and knowledge of professional photography equipment 
  • Understanding of color, composition, lighting, photography best practices, and file management 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud. Capture One a plus 
  • Experience in the outdoors, with outdoor brands, or with outdoor lifestyle photography is a plus 
  • Detail oriented with both product and organization of assets 
  • Have a positive attitude with ability to move projects forward when having to manage shifting priorities, budget, or timelines 
  • Experience in team project management software’s such as Instagantt or Asana a plus 
  • Knowledge or experience in video production process a plus

Customer Service Representative

Description

We are looking for a friendly, motivated mountain bike rider/enthusiast who would like to join our Customer Service team. As a Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for answering phones, talking with consumers and dealers, and order entry. You will become familiar with our different models to help suggest to consumers what to buy and assist them with technical questions.

Responsibilities
  • Answer phones and work directly with consumers and dealers
  • Help visitors at our facility and provide tours
  • Follow up with potential customers
  • Suggestive selling to consumers and dealers
  • Aid in our sales vision while providing excellent customer service
  • Assist the Inside Sales Specialists with order entry, warranty and other tasks

Demo Driver (Two Openings)

Description

Pivot Cycles is seeking two highly organized and detail-oriented people to fill our east coast and west coast Demo Driver positions.  Our Demo Drivers are responsible for engaging with dealers, reps and riders to convey the Pivot Cycles brand and product. They are one of Pivot’s most important customer interaction points – meeting thousands of potential and current Pivot customers around the country each year at retailer-based demos and bicycle festivals.

Both positions will need to train in Tempe, AZ until the demo route begins in February 2025.  Our Demo Drivers are on the road and living in demo vehicles and hotels for 11 months of the year.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct demos and dealer visits while traveling up to eleven months of the year. 
  • Help to coordinate the scheduling and organization of events while providing marketing support to our dealers in order to ensure that the events are well attended and successful. 
  • General upkeep and maintenance of the demo truck and trailer on a routine schedule.   
  • Maintain the demo fleet to the highest standards of functionality, safety, cleanliness and aesthetics between each demo event for like-new appearance and ride experience, per Pivot Cycles standards. 
  • Engage with dealers, reps and riders to convey the Pivot Cycles brand and product in a positive manner, with an eye toward supporting and creating sales of Pivot products.  
  • Conduct technical education, greeting customers, consistently gathering rider waivers, and setting up demo bikes according to Pivot guidelines during the demo events. 
  • Write required reports after each event in the established format to enable the sales, marketing and engineering staff to benefit from your on-the-road experiences. 
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Previous bicycle shop, demo driver or other relevant bicycle industry experience 
  • A thorough understanding of the bicycle – mechanical, components, suspension 
  • Complete knowledge of bicycle related tools and their use 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and desire to make new friends every week 
  • Well-organized, self-motivated individual  
  • Clean, professional appearance 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products – Excel, Word and Outlook 
  • Mechanic certifications are a plus  
  • Clean driving record and pass necessary background checks 
  • Able to lift 75lbs and work in standing position for several hours at a time

International Inside Sales Specialist

Description

This is not a remote position. The candidate must live in either Tempe, AZ or Stuttgart, Germany.

The International Inside Sales Specialist will report to the International Sales Manager and be responsible for ensuring continued growth of international sales by working with overseas distributors to write new orders, implement the annual sales program, and identify new sales opportunities. This position maybe be required to travel internationally 4-6 weeks per year. Primary responsibilities will include prospecting for new orders, managing key accounts, onboarding new distributors, and keeping the international sales team apprised of progress toward the monthly sales goals.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate requirements and incentives to the international distributor network 
  • Identify opportunities via monitoring credit reports and open stock 
  • Routine communication with key markets to understand challenges, opportunities, and strategies needed to help them grow 
  • Onboard new distributors to help them understand their benefits and obligations 
  • Onboard new internal staff with training in processes, relationships, and effective strategies 
  • Create and maintain SOP documents to ensure standardized knowledge base amongst the international sales team 
  • Build and maintain customer profiles through Hubspot CRM system 
  • Monitor adherence to the annual Sales Program 
  • Coordinate in-person logistics during customer visits and in-house events 
  • Enter orders and send confirmations 
  • Maintain and distribute backorder reports on a monthly basis 
  • Assist the International Sales Coordinator with warehouse liaising 
Requirements
  • 3+ years international sales experience in the outdoor industry
  • College Degree 
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for emails and calls to foreign countries
