Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen

What is Rachel’s favorite model?

“The 5.5 wins my heart because of its playfulness and ability to really pick your line, pump through technical sections and I love the way it handles in the park,” says Rachel. “It doesn’t matter if I’m out with friends who are newer to riding on some more basic trails, riding my favorite lines in Whistler or on the techier trails of South Mountain - I just know this bike will always be a fun ride.”

Rachel grew up racing BMX from the age of 4 but took a hiatus from riding from the ages of 12-18 to focus on soccer. “My dad took me out for my first mountain bike ride when I was 18 and I was hooked!” she says. Rachel is one of the riders in our Mach 5.5 launch video so as you can see here, she really shreds.

Rachel bought her Mach 5.5 with the Pro XT/XTR build and Reynolds carbon wheel upgrade. She didn’t change a single thing saying, “stock is perfect!” Her favorite component on this bike or any of her other mountain bikes is its Fox Transfer dropper post. “If you need to ask why – you really need to get one…” Rachel says.
