What is Christoph’s favorite model and why?
Christoph’s favorite model is currently the Firebird 29. Although he generally enjoys the gravity assisted side of enduro, downhill and park style riding, “this bike has made me love to climb for my descents,” he says. “The Firebird 29 makes me a better rider everywhere on the trail. It doesn’t matter if I’m going for a fast and flat after-work-ride or smashing laps in the bikepark, the Firebird 29 always delivers. I love the way the sensitive suspension keeps the bike planted and predictable yet still a comfortable landing from big jumps and harder hits.”
Christoph’s favorite rides are high in the alps on warm golden autumn days. He also spends a lot of time at bikeparks in Chur, Switzerland; Morzine, France; and Leogang, Austria. In the colder winter months he rides Arizona and Indiana Jones Trail at Burg Dischingen in Stuttgart.
His Firebird is built with the Team XX1 spec. Christoph’s favorite part of the build is its Reynolds Blacklabel Enduro carbon wheels because of their quick acceleration and stiffness that provides excellent directional stability.
