We couldn’t agree more! The collaboration between Pivot Cycles™ and Dave Weagle (DW Link™) allows us to build on the high performance features and characteristics that Cocalis’ designs are most known for, while taking pedaling performance and traction under sprinting and climbing to a whole new level by incorporating DW Link™ “position sensitive anti-squat” technology into our designs.

Featuring Cocalis developed suspension rates, our multi-pivot DW Link™ designs achieve a slightly more rearward travel path at the beginning of the stroke and a controlled feel throughout the travel. The result is a line of bikes that handle square edge bumps like nothing else and have unbelievable traction on loose climbs. Whichever Pivot model you choose, you’ll instantly notice a bike that pedals extremely well, does not ‘squat’ under power, and soaks up every kind of bump you can throw at it. It’s an incredible ride that you need to experience for yourself.

8 Bearings: A huge added benefit to our new multi-pivot design is that the one piece rear triangle provides for a much higher level of frame stiffness by eliminating pivots at the dropouts. Even with such a rigid rear triangle, a suspension design is only as good as its pivots, and we have a name to live up to.

All Pivot Cycles™ models feature oversize 7075-T6 aluminum (the best kind) pivot axles and an 8 bearing DW Link™ (lower main pivot link) configuration. Integrated Bottom Bracket and Direct mount Front Derailleur:
Although not nearly as exciting as analyzing wheel travel paths (just kidding), these are some of the biggest innovations to ever hit the world of mountain biking. Two of the biggest problems to plague riders since the dawn of cycling have been front shifting and proper chain alignment. Our Integrated Bottom Bracket and Direct mount Front Derailleur designs all but eliminate these issues and make life with your cranks and front derailleur just plain easy.

We developed this new integrated composite resin XTR bottom bracket in conjunction with Shimano. The new design is lighter and stiffer than current external bearing designs, with the benefit of perfect chain line every time. Just slide your cranks into the frame, tighten the bolts and go. No chasing, no facing. Likewise, the front derailleur is directly mounted to the side of the frame, resulting in the most rigid attachment, perfect derailleur alignment and the best shifting performance to date.
