Marketing Manager

Pivot Cycles is seeking to fill the position of Marketing Manager.  The Marketing Manager is an integral part of the leadership team and is responsible for creating and implementing a marketing strategy designed to support and enhance the annual Pivot Cycles brand and sales plans.  This is a soup-to-nuts position requiring enthusiasm for both strategic and production level tasks within the marketing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long term marketing strategies via competitive analysis, market summaries, and historical sales and online data analysis
  • Create and maintain yearly marketing budget, with responsibility for executing marketing goals within financial parameters
  • Oversee brand management and maintain integrity of Pivot brand across global market and programs
  • Write all new product copy and materials to clearly convey both engineering team product goals and market purpose, maintain all current product support materials, manage translation services and resources for global market
  • Develop and implement creative briefs in partnership with videographer and photographer resources to execute brand-appropriate content for product and athlete promotion; maintain video and photo library and websites
  • Work with vendors and internal marketing staff to design and execute tradeshow, advertising, social media, email marketing, product launch events and other programs
  • Design, produce, and monitor all newsletter marketing per annual strategies and grow newsletter lists through various channels and programs
  • Supply sales team with materials and information required for sales success
  • Monitor online user experience data, design and suggest directions for improving online user interface and experience
  • Monitor SEO and Google analytics KPI, create actionable reports for manager’s group
  • Work with athlete coordinator and CEO to develop meaningful sponsorship programs that support strategic sales and marketing goals
  • Work with social media coordinator to create meaningful social media communities and programs with measurable value to the overall marketing plan

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of professional marketing experience for a national or global brand, Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute programs on time and within budget across product, web, print, tradeshow
  • Core understanding of the bike industry, aesthetic and sponsorship standards
  • Passion for mountain bikes is essential for this position
  • Highly skilled user of the following software:
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Office 365
    • Mailchimp
    • Google Analytics
    • Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Bilingual German or French speaker a bonus
